NWCB Project of the Year: Light Gauge Cold Formed Steel Framing – Oregon
Completed: 2017
This project was built in partnership with A&A Project Development and Jensen Fey Architects. This Marriott is a 7-story, “4-over-3” project where Harver built 4 floors of prefabricated structural panels on the 3 story post-tension concrete podium. After being awarded this project late into construction, the Harver design-assist team quickly designed the structural panels and began fabricating panels within 2 months. Complicated sections of the joists and parapet sections were also pre-fabricated onsite and flown into place. Seamless panel and joist installation was completed 1 month ahead of schedule during one of the wettest winters on record. This allowed roofing and other trades the much-needed extra time for dry-in. With success amidst the high-paced and challenging dynamic that structural panel projects can possess, the Harver Company team demonstrated why it will continue to distinguish itself as a top performer in the walls and ceilings industry.
